Pulling candles
Christmas tree candles and pillar candles are pulled on the pulling machine. As the wick slides through the liquid wax bath, the candle strand is created layer by layer.
Candle surfacing
Altar and Easter candles are pre-pulled on the traction engine and then dipped on the dipping carousel. Twin taper candles are dipped from the wick on the carousel.Moulding candles
Liquid wax is poured into aluminium moulds to produce solid-coloured hoarfrost candles, while tealights and votives made of pure beeswax are processed on a casting table.
Filling candles
The aluminium sleeves of the tealights and nightlights are filled with liquid wax from spray nozzles, while burial candles are filled with liquid vegetable oil - and then cooled on a long conveyor belt.
Candle moulding
Cylindrical candles, ball candles and taper candles are cold-pressed from paraffin powder.
Wax puller
Small batches are still worked by hand on the marble table today. The wax puller's typical tools are a rolling board, a cutting knife with a wooden shaft, a moulding board and a candle drill.
