The joy of light

Hongler Kerzen AG is the oldest candle manufacturer in Switzerland. Candles are still produced in Altstätten SG in the old tradition. Various beautiful events are also organised at Christmas time.

Hanspeter Keel is a wax puller at Hongler, the oldest candle manufacturer in Switzerland. In autumn, he almost can't keep up with production. However, patience is required for his work.

Candles have been produced at Hongler in Altstätten since 1703. Thanks to its quality and selection, the Rheintal-based manufacturer is able to hold its own with its high-quality niche products.

Apprentices at Bühler AG in Uzwil immersed themselves in the world of candle production and developed a new machine for Hongler Kerzen to produce large altar and Easter candles.
