Gel wax consists of paraffin, vaseline and other oils that are solidified with the help of additives. At room temperature it is soft and jelly-like. Candles made from gel wax have a burning time that is about five times longer than candles made from normal paraffin. Gel wax is poured into jars. The gel wax is non-toxic and can be safely handled by children.
