Step-by-step instructions
Step 1
Soap 2 balloons with liquid detergent and pull them over each other using a wooden spoon.
Step 2
Fill the balloon with water (approx. 12 to 15 cm Ø) and tie it shut or close it with a clip. Dry the balloon with kitchen paper.
Step 3
Melt the paraffin in a water bath. Temperature approx. 60°C.
Step 4
Dip the balloon into the wax approx. 10 times. Dip a little deeper on the first dip. After each dip, place the balloon on a piece of baking paper for approx. 30 seconds. This forms the base.
Step 5
Pierce the balloon, let the water run out and remove the balloon from the dish.
Step 6
Melt off the edges, e.g. on baking paper on a heated hob. Any remaining unevenness can easily be smoothed out with your index finger. A tea light makes the wax bowl glow. To prevent the tea light from melting, we recommend filling the base with a little sand.
