We organise candle making by appointment. The exact opening times and prices for this year can be found in the following information sheet:

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to register for candle-pulling?

This year, we are again organising candle-pulling by registration. You can >reserve your preferred start date here. There is no time limit for candle-pulling. Reservation fee CHF 3.00/person.

Is there an age restriction?

Candle-pulling is suitable for children from 5 years old with an accompanying person, and from 7 years old also without accompaniment.

I am accompanying someone and not pulling a candle myself. Do I have to reserve a place as well?

No. Accompanying persons do not need a reservation. We ask that only one person accompanies a child who is pulling a candle.

Do I have to give my address?

The name and address of one person from the group is required for the reservation.

Are protective covers provided?

Large T-shirts are available to wear over your clothing. As wax stains can occur on clothing when making candles, we recommend wearing the simplest clothing possible.

Can I pay by credit card?

We ask you to pay the reservation fee by credit card, PostFinance or Twint. In the candle barn you can pay only in cash and with Twint.

How much do the home-made candles cost?

We charge the candles by weight: CHF 4.30/100 gr. paraffin (subject to price adjustment) CHF 5.40/100 gr. beeswax (subject to price adjustment)

Until when can I book an appointment?

Appointments are accepted up to 1 hour before the first candle-dipping session of the day.

If I am unable to attend the candle-dipping appointment, can I pass the reservation on to acquaintances?

Yes, you can forward the confirmation email. The replacement person can bring the confirmation printed out or in digital form on their mobile phone.

Can I also book for more than 10 people?

In November and December, groups and school classes (10 to 25 people) can book the candle barn for a private candle-dipping session on Fridays. Depending on the size of the group, one or two experts are present. Prices: CHF 12 per person for 1 ½ hours incl. dipped candles.   >To booking for groups

Caroline Vázquez Vivas and the candle-making team look forward to seeing you.
